On November 4, 2026, modder alimps published the “FC27 212 National Teams Road to World Cup Mod” on Nexus Mods, version 1.0-TU1.1.0. This free mod for the PC version of EA Sports FC 27 makes 212 national teams playable and adds a road to the World Cup. One limitation applies: it only works in Tournament mode.

212 playable national teams and a road to the World Cup
The mod unlocks the 211 nations recognized by FIFA, along with the Northern Mariana Islands. That gives you a total of 212 teams, from the South American giant to the small Pacific archipelago. The road to the World Cup features the official logos and textures of the FIFA World Cup. The competitions are spread across two game modes:
- the World Cup finals in Tournament mode;
- the World Cup final in Kick Off, the quick-match mode;
- the finals of the major continental tournaments, also in Kick Off.
Anthems, commentary and revamped squads
The squads of all national teams have been completely revamped. The mod also adds more than 3,000 minifaces, the small face thumbnails shown in lineup menus. Each team sings its national anthem before kick-off. Custom commentary is available for more than 80 national teams, with lines specific to each tournament. Authentic trophies are included, and both club stadiums and FUT stadiums become available. Only the major national teams receive updated kits. In the mods I test for FPFrance, anthems and commentary often do more to transform the atmosphere of a match than the menus do.
Tournament mode only, Career mode as a paid option
The mod is limited to Tournament mode. To manage a national team over several seasons in Career mode, you need to buy a separate add-on, the Career Mode Addon, whose price alimps has not disclosed. Text and commentary are available in English only. The author mentions other languages for future versions but makes no further commitments.
Installation and upcoming additions
The mod relies on Live Editor and the Mod Manager, two common PC modding tools. Imagine two different address books placed on the same desk: adding another squad file, even official EA updates, causes data conflicts and crashes. If the game crashes on launch, the page recommends removing all other mods and excluding the game, Mod Manager, FIFA Editing Toolsuite and Live Editor folders from your antivirus. The TU1.1.0 label presumably refers to the game update supported. As of this Saturday, November 7, the page showed 518 downloads. On October 19, RODE (RODEMODS) had released a free licensing mod covering, among other things, 13 generic national teams, according to Footy Headlines.
Alimps says player and manager faces, supporter chants, tournament anthems and new kits are in the works, but has not provided a timeline. An updated version compatible with the next FC 27 update is still to come. Before installing, remove your squad files from the AppData\Local\EA SPORTS FC 27\Settings folder.
